Foreign Oil producers have us "Over A Barrel". Solar power is needed more than ever before and it is time for us to step up to the plate and bring it into the spotlight. It has the potential of alleviating many of the issues that are making headline news today.

In order to be effective, solar power must be implemented on a massive scale. And fortunately because it works well as a distributed energy source that does not mean it will require a massive infrastructure, its beneficial effect can begin to be infused into our current energy environment today. But in order to orchestrate the scale of change necessary, government must get involved.

There are many reasons solar energy is a particularly good fit right now. It is a mature technology and has already been implemented to meet thousands of energy requirements. Because it does work well as a distributed energy source it can immediately begin to dot rooftops, greatly reducing the need for damaging fossil fuels. Technological advancements in solar energy production have the potential to drive down the costs. This web site will look at all of these factors and show why solar energy needs to be adopted now!

Many critical issues, such as the environment, need to be acted on today to make a better tomorrow for our children. But these changes will not happen on their own, and not with the backing of politicians or celebrities, it will take the majority of people standing behind them and sending a clear message for change to take place. It is hoped that in spending time on this site you will see the need to take action and make your concern for adopting solar and other environmentally friendly technologies known to your government. We need a unified "VOICE".

We will examine the technologies avaiable to solar and alternate energy solutions. There are few topics that are more central or more politically and socially charged than clean energy these days.   This web site is an attempt to give an impartial, unbiased and objective view of the solar energy, hydrogen controversy. We will look at the good, the bad and the ridiculous in this field and with your help attempt to bring clear objective thinking to this subject.

We will "do the numbers" and show that present technology can provide economic solutions now.

We will look at the technologies that can be implemented immediately, such as solar assisted residential power and those that will need development time like Hydrogen storage and transportation.

We will attempt to report new breakthroughs in a timely manner and offer a means to discuss them.

The things that make solar energy so desirable (that it is free, plentiful and environmentally friendly) also make it a perfect solution to provide Hydrogen to empower our homes and vehicles.

The major stumbling block to Hydrogen technology gaining relevance is that the cost of conversion is high and it is currently made primarily from fossil fuels, with their damaging effects on the environment.  But solar energy can provide limitless free Hydrogen for power and with no environmental harm.  The technology for a solar Hydrogen system exists now. On the solar side it has been in operation for years. On the Hydrogen side there are (very expensive) working prototypes in existence now also. Together they can provide the bulk of the energy needs for households in this country,

Instead of providing handouts to poorly managed businesses we can use bailout money to create jobs in the solar industry. The production and installation of millions of solar panels (the US has 10 million homes) will generate thousands and thousands of new jobs.

Just as during the Great Depression when Franklin Roosevelt implemented the WPA and rebuilt the country's infrastructure, we need to generate jobs to move us out of this recession. now.

The war on terror can be fought financially. Terrorists need financing to buy weapons which they get from the purchase of oil in the United States. American dollars are being used against us in the Middle East. War. OPEC wants our money and as much as possible. Already "tumbling oil prices" are having an effect on Iran's nuclear program. Solar energy can make the greatest impact on reducing this financing.

Not only is solar energy free it is extremely green. Implementing solar panels on residential rooftops is a plan that can be executed in a fraction of the time of the "popular" ideas being considered now. This means a cleaner environment sooner.

Check out "MODEL" in the above menu for a proposed model and discussion on how this technology can be implemented, much of today!
